UNO brought in four talented soccer players with a championship mentality on Wednesday, coach Don Klosterman said.

They are goalkeeper Erin Bunker of Overland Park, Kansas, defender Mallory Edwards of Omaha Marian, defender-midfielder Taylor Gelling of St. Michael, Minnesota and midfielder Sophia Roux of Medina, Minnesota.

They’ll join transfers Carlie Cook of Tulsa and Erin Dimon of Illinois State. Cook and Dimon are already on campus and participating in spring practices.

“I am very excited about this incoming class,” Klosterman said. “I am confident these four players joining the program will add to what we’ve been building. Not only are they unbelievable on the soccer field, they are amazing in the classroom. They will be a perfect fit at our school as student-athletes, and I can’t wait to have them represent the soccer program at UNO.”
