The University of Nebraska at Omaha men’s basketball schedule, announced Tuesday, will include games against three NCAA tournament teams from last season.

UNO will meet UNLV and Minnesota in nonconference play, and face off twice against defending Summit League champion South Dakota State.

The Mavericks’ schedule includes 13 games at Ralston Arena and a trip to Hawaii on Jan. 3. UNO opens its home slate Nov. 13 against former Summit League member UMKC, which is now in the Western Athletic Conference.

The Mavs travel to UNLV on Nov. 16 and visit Minnesota on Dec. 20. The games against South Dakota State are Jan. 18 in Brookings, S.D., and Feb. 13 at Ralston Arena.

“With the schedule we have put together for 2013-14, we’re excited about the challenges ahead for our team,” UNO coach Derrin Hansen said. “This year, we’re starting a home-and-home series with Nevada, and we’ll have a big test with Denver joining the Summit League. We also have road games at two Big Ten venues, and the Hawaii trip will give us a great start to 2014 before beginning conference play.”
