The University of Nebraska at Omaha women's soccer team lost its home homer 4-0 to Northern Colorado on Friday at UNO Soccer Field.

Despite outshooting the Bears (1-2) 15-9, including and 9-6 in shots on goal, the Mavericks (0-3) failed to score. UNO also failed to convert twice on penalty kicks as Northern Colorado keeper Natalie D'Adamio made eight saves.

In the 32nd minute, the Bears got on the board on a penalty kick by Essence Ortiz-Lanier. She made it 2-0 in 42nd minute.

Five minutes after halftime, Danielle Birdsall headed in a free kick for a 3-0 lead. Shanlie Anderson capped the scoring in the 87th minute on a breakaway.

Katlyn Nimtz had three shots on goal to lead the Mavs, who will host North Dakota at noon Sunday.

Northern Colorado (1-2) ............................ 2 2—4

At UNO (0-3) ............................ 0 0—0
