The programs haven’t met since the 2003-04 season. Paige Frauendorfer has moved back into the Summit League lead in rebounding with an average of 8.7 per game, including a league-best 2.9 offensive rebounds per game. She needs three points to become the 25th member of the Mavs’ career 1,000-point club. Jamie Nash was No. 24. Nash continues to lead the league in assists (7.1 per game) and steals (3.4). Casse Vaughn, averaging 7.7 points, continues to lead Summit qualifiers in field goal percentage (.579). UNO leads the Summit in field goal percentage defense (.357).

Scouting North Dakota State: Katie Birkel, a senior from Lincoln Southeast who missed last year because of a knee injury, is 16th on the all-time Bison scoring list with 1,285 points. Starting guard Jamie Van Kirk is from Sutton, Neb. North Dakota State was picked to finish fourth in the Summit’s preseason poll. Janae Burich, a 6-foot-5 senior center picked to the preseason All-Summit second team, is out for the season with a knee injury after playing two games. She’s second in school history with 211 blocked shots. Senior guard Hannah Linz (recurrence of Hodgkin’s lymphoma) also is out for the year after averaging 7.6 points in 13 games. The Bison are 11th in the country in free-throw shooting at 77.2 percent, but rank last in the Summit in field-goal percentage (37.4) and 3-point percentage (25.6).
