Scouting IUPUI: The Jaguars have won five straight games since dropping consecutive road games to conference co-leaders South Dakota State and South Dakota. They host both teams before the end of the season and are still within striking distance of the Summit League crown. IUPUI’s final three games are at home following Wednesday’s game in Omaha. It beat UNO 75-59 last month thanks to a strong fourth quarter. Mikale Rogers led four Jags in double figures with 26 points. She had her sixth double-double in a 67-54 win at Denver in IUPUI’s last game. Senior Akilah Sims scored her 1,000th career point in that game. This is the final contest of a three-game road swing for IUPUI.

Scouting UNO: The Mavericks play their final home game of 2016 when they meet IUPUI for their senior game. Nebraska native Bobbi Beckwith, a Boone Central graduate, is the lone senior on the UNO roster and will be recognized at Baxter Arena. She’s played 43 games for the Mavs the past two seasons after transferring from Indiana State following an outstanding junior college career at Iowa Western. UNO is coming off a road loss at North Dakota State. The Mavs were outscored 17-7 in the second quarter of the game, their fifth straight in which they’ve been held to a single-digit total in a period. UNO sits in sixth place in the league standings heading into its final three games. If the season ended with the standings remaining the same, the Mavs would also face IUPUI in the Summit tournament quarterfinals.
