Nebraska football: Huskers pile it on

Though you can’t see him, Adrian Martinez is in that pile of humanity — and being pushed into the end zone for a first-quarter touchdown. Nebraska was able to push the pile plenty and pile up the numbers in Saturday’s 54-7 win over Maryland. In snapping their four-game skid, the Huskers ran up 31 first downs and outyarded the Terrapins 531-206. It wasn’t just about the offense, though. The Blackshirts pitched a shutout until the fourth quarter, and Maryland took only two snaps on NU’s side of the field. NU also had seven tackles for loss and gave up seven completions combined by four Terp quarterbacks.
