In the second episode of "Where I Come From" — a new podcast from The World-Herald — host Dirk Chatelain sits down for an in-depth interview with UNO Athletic Director Trev Alberts.

The podcast, which features extended conversations with Nebraska's most prominent and interesting sports figures, goes beyond the daily soundbites and clichés to offer access you can't get anywhere else. Who are these people and how did they get where they are? What life experiences changed them? What have they learned?

During the discussion with Alberts, the former Husker football All-America linebacker talks about his NFL career, time spent in the broadcasting booth with ESPN and CBS, serving as the head of the Mavericks' athletic department, the best parts about working as an athletic director and more. Check out the full episode in the video above.
