LEWISTON, Idaho — Bellevue had its 26-game winning streak snapped as Indiana Tech scored a run in the bottom of the 10th inning for a 3-2 win in the first round of the NAIA World Series.

Bellevue trailed 2-1 in the ninth inning before extra inning when shortstop Korey Longaker hit a two-out, RBI double to right center.

The Bruins, who left 12 runners stranded on the day, had runners at second and third in the top of the 10th but couldn't push across the go-ahead run. Indiana Tech then had runners at first and second with one out when Jake Defries delivered an RBI single to right to win it.

Bellevue starter Stephen Knapp pitched 8⅔ innings, scattering 10 hits and allowing one earned run.

Bellevue looks to extend its season Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
