There was a problem reporting this.
If we need a strong safety then make the kid an offer. Lot of talk about signing kids within 500 miles and there may be a chance we don’t get another kid from Lincoln for lack of an offer.
Sad but true young man. What they are telling you is wait until we find somebody better. If we cant...walk on. That's baloney. If OSU really wants you...sign that offer and don't look back.
Or, they already have too many signed for the position and they're waiting to see if one of the current guys on the roster will move on or wait til after next season when they graduate. At any rate, if it's his dream to play here, then he'll be fine to wait it out. the other offers aren't going anywhere.
Can’t help but think we are about to make the same kind of mistake we made with Joe Burrow. The parallels are striking. Both have state ties, are highly rated by other schools, are from good gene pools, and are very smart. Does anyone dispute that we need as many good, smart, character players that we can find? Especially on defense! Asking him to walk on is an insult, and the promise of a scholarship after that can easily be broken. Try not to mess this up Huskers.
not that Gifford is on line to win the butkis..like joe to win the Heisman..but oddly I agree with larry here..give the dude a scholarship....
No Big 12 or BIG offers? quitting beating out Air Force and Wyoming for players. T.O. was successful b/c recruiting wasn't as sophisticated 30 years ago as it is today. Everyone now knows who kids are; there are no more hidden gems' out there. If he has 7 mid-major offers, then he may not be Power 5 worthy
