Bellevue West receiver Zavier Betts is ranked among the nation's top 60 recruits for the 2020 class, according to Rivals' latest rankings update.
Betts is a four-star prospect at No. 59 overall and No. 10 at his position. He's the only recruit from Nebraska to land in the Rivals top 250, though three other in-state prospects have three-star ratings — Jevyon Ducker (Bellevue West), Xavier Watts (Omaha Burke) and Isaac Gifford (Lincoln Southeast).
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Betts is also the No. 1 player in the NebHSRecruiting rankings. He has scholarship offers from Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota and Purdue.
A member of the 2017 All-Nebraska football team as a sophomore, Betts opened his junior season with six catches for 106 yards and a touchdown in a victory against Lincoln High last week.
If Betts retains his ranking, he would make it three straight years the state has produced a Rivals top 250 recruit. Cameron Jurgens, now a Husker tight end, was ranked No. 90 coming out of Beatrice in 2017. Husker commit Nick Henrich from Omaha Burke currently ranks No. 107 in the 2018 class.
At No. 59, Betts would be the state's highest-ranked recruit, according to Rivals, since Lincoln Southwest's Baker Steinkuhler (No. 8) and Elkhorn's Trevor Robinson (No. 37) in the 2008 class.
