Humphrey St. Francis standouts Trevor Pfeifer and Dylan Wemhoff aiming to fulfill childhood dream

Led by Trevor Pfeifer, left, and Dylan Wemhoff, Humphrey St. Francisis one of four teams in Nebraska with at least two returning first-team all-state players. “It’s been rewarding watching them develop as players and as people. I’m looking forward to both of them having a great senior year,” Flyers coach Eric Kessler said.

Dylan Wemhoff helped the Flyers average 239.5 yards per game on the ground in 2018. “We just came in with the mindset that we could move anybody,” Wemhoff said.

Trevor Pfeifer, who is a four-year starter at quarterback for the Flyers, had 1,784 yards of total offense — including 1,181 yards and 17 touchdowns through the air — as a junior.
