HASTINGS, Neb. — Wayne and West Point GACC forced a pair of if-necessary games Friday with victories at the state high school softball tournament.

Wayne defeated Beatrice 6-1 in Class B, and the Bluejays held off Fairbury 7-6 in Class C. Because the Lady Orange and Jeffs were undefeated entering the final day of the tournament, a second game for those two state championships need to be played.

The Class B game is tentatively scheduled to begin at 4:15 p.m., and first pitch in Class C is slated or 4:35 p.m.
