Omaha Creighton Prep defeated top-ranked Millard South 5-2 on Friday in a semifinal of the Metro Conference baseball tournament.

Dylan Phillips pitched a complete-game five-hitter for the second-ranked Junior Jays. He struck out six while allowing single runs in the sixth and seventh.

Owen Richter had a three-run triple in the first inning to give Prep (12-2) a lead it never relinquished.

The Patriots fell to 14-2.
