How he got here: Farmer took one official visit to Nebraska, saw a snowstorm for the first time, and loved it. Farmer committed to NU on the visit with his parents in the room. He’s another Atlanta-area prospect drawn to Nebraska through connections made by defensive backs coach Travis Fisher and tight ends coach Sean Beckton, who knows the Atlanta area inside and out. Farmer had plenty of Power Five scholarship offers but he only had eyes for the Huskers.

Our take: Farmer is a long, lean safety who can roam in coverage or come down in run support. He projects favorably to recent Husker safety Tre Neal. Farmer can curl his frame down for a good hit. With all of the competition at safety — the top three guys departed — Farmer will have a shot to play early.

They said it: “Physicality is his game. He ain’t the fastest guy, but he can make somebody cry real quick. He’s that physical; he’s that dude.” — Emmanuel McQueen, Farmer’s teammate at Westlake
