Recruiting: Top QB target Max Duggan considering return visit for Nebraska's second Friday Night Lights camp

Max Duggan proved at Nebraska's Friday Night Lights camp why he's considered one of the top quarterbacks in the Midwest.

Council Bluffs Lewis Central quarterback Max Duggan, a top 2019 quarterback target for Nebraska, is considering attending the Huskers’ second and star-studded Friday Nights Lights after he performed well at the first one.

Duggan — who has an offer from NU, Iowa, Iowa State and Penn State, among other schools — said he has an open invitation to return this week to throw to several of Nebraska’s wide receiver commits and targets, including Joshua Moore and Manuel Allen. As of now, the Huskers don’t necessarily have a top quarterback lined up to throw to some of those players. Duggan, perhaps the best quarterback in the Midwest for the 2019 class, fits the bill.

“There’s going to be a lot of talent down there,” Duggan said of NU’s second FNL event. “It’s an opportunity that doesn’t come around very often.”

One hitch: Lewis Central has a baseball game Friday night. Duggan is trying to figure out how to juggle those events.

He enjoyed his first stint at the FNL camp and took an unofficial visit, too, as part of the Big Red Weekend. It was Duggan’s third trip to Nebraska, but his first tour of the facilities.
