Former Nebraska standout Alfonzo Dennard was booked Friday on a warrant for failing to appear in court for traffic-related charges.

Court records show that Dennard, 29, was supposed to be in Lancaster County Court on Thursday for two infractions and a misdemeanor: no operator’s license, improper registration and no proof of insurance.

A bench warrant was issued Friday, and he was arrested that night and booked in the Sarpy County Jail. He lives in La Vista, according to court records.

Dennard was a former defensive back for the Huskers from 2008 to 2011 and later played professionally for the New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals.
