How he got here: Graham received a Nebraska offer in March then moved the Huskers to the top of his list after Scott Frost visited his high school in early December. An official visit the next weekend was all the pass rusher needed to be convinced these coaches wanted — or needed — him more than anyone else. Graham’s numbers back up his abilities: 85 tackles (37 for loss and 13 1⁄2 sacks) along with 18 quarterback hurries and three pass breakups on a 12-1 team.  Minnesota and Louisville also offered Graham late in the process.

Our take: Nebraska’s inability to get home on quarterbacks was obvious all season, and Graham has the motor and frame to help end a drought of Husker sack masters. His commitment also continues to paint a picture of what Frost and Co. are looking for from the outside linebacker spots after plucking Caleb Tannor — who has nearly the same measurements as Graham — out of SEC territory in the last cycle. Pass rushers are hard to find and often translate unpredictably from high school to college, but Graham represents a shot worth taking.

They said it: “In today’s society you see kids that sack the quarterback and want to get up and let everyone know they sacked the quarterback. He picks the quarterback up, pats him on the back and goes back. He’s not about show. He plays hard and is kind of old school.” — Etowah coach Drew Noles
