Adrian Martinez

Adrian Martinez has accounted for 1,858 total yards of offense and 13 touchdowns this season.

Nebraska freshman Adrian Martinez was selected as the Manning Award Quarterback of the Week for his performance against Minnesota.

Also the co-Big Ten Freshman of the Week, Martinez completed 25 of 29 passes for 276 yards and three touchdowns against the Gophers. He also ran for 125 yards and another score.

It was his third game with at least 400 yards of total offense, tying a school record for a career. He also broke the 44-year-old single-game record for completion percentage (86.2) with more than 25 pass attempts.

Martinez is the Big Ten's second Manning Award Quarterback of the Week after Iowa's Nate Stanley received the honor last week.
