Nebraska has made quick work of Arkansas State in only two matchups

Nebraska quarterback Zac Lee scrambles during Nebraska's 38-9 win over Arkansas State in 2009.

Nebraska's history against Arkansas State has been short, but sweet, for NU.

The Huskers and Red Wolves didn't meet for the first time until 2009, when the Huskers won 38-9.

In that matchup, NU quarterback Zac Lee completed 27 of 35 passes for 340 yards to guide the No. 22 Huskers. Nebraska scored on its first three possessions, and it would have been a fourth if not for a penalty that called back a 70-yard touchdown pass to Niles Paul.

The only other meeting featured more of the same. The Huskers jumped to a 28-3 halftime lead and eventually won 42-13

The Huskers outgained the Red Wolves 527-286 to bounce back from a 36-30 loss to UCLA a week prior. Then coach Bo Pelini also left the game at halftime for precautionary tests at an area hospital.

Ameer Abdullah ran 30 times for 167 yards, "twisting, darting and slipping out of tackles," to score two touchdowns.
