Damian Jackson

Damian Jackson carried out the American flag during the Huskers' Tunnel Walk before the Illinois game in November. Jackson is a former Navy SEAL who joined the Huskers as a walk-on.

Damian Jackson — the former SEAL who joined the Husker football team as a walk-on in 2017 — is featured in a video showcasing the lives behind members of the Navy.

The nine-minute video profiles Jackson as he discusses what life is like as a Husker. He also shares insight into what his duties were with the Navy and how that prepared him to be a Husker football player.

Jackson's story is well-known around Nebraska. After completing his time in the Navy, Jackson ended up at Nebraska hoping to realize a dream of playing college football, even though he'd never played the sport. He made the team through a tryout and played in his first game last season.
