After four years at corner, Lee’s moved to safety. And just at the right time. With the recent departures of CJ Smith and Cam Jones, Lee’s opportunity to see the field has expanded even more. With Deontai Williams likely solidified at one spot, Lee will compete with incoming freshman safeties Noa Pola-Gates, Quinton Newsome and Myles Farmer for a starting role. Lee said in the spring that he’s still getting used to setting up the defense but likes his chances of playing time.
