Game predictions: Nebraska expected to avoid Arkansas State upset, open season with win

Nebraska defeated Arkansas State, 42-13, the last time the two teams met in 2012.

Will the Huskers open the 2017 season with a victory or can Arkansas State come to Memorial Stadium and pull off the upset?

We rounded up some predictions from members of the national media to figure out who's favored between Big Red and the Red Wolves.

Nebraska picked up victories in each of its two previous meetings with Arkansas State, both wins coming by 29 points, and the Huskers are again expected to come out on top.

Nebraska is the consensus pick based on all the predictions we found. That lines up with the Vegas oddsmakers, who peg NU as the heavy favorite, though after opening as a 19-point favorite, the Husker spread is down to 14.5 points as of Thursday afternoon.
