Former Husker John Parrella joins Cleveland Browns coaching staff

John Parrella was an All-Big Eight selection as a player at Nebraska and returned to NU to coach the defensive line from 2016-17.

Former Husker John Parrella was among seven assistants added to the staff of Browns coach Freddie Kitchens on Friday.

Parrella, a Grand Island Central Catholic graduate, will be the assistant defensive line coach for the Browns. He was an All-Big Eight selection as a player at Nebraska and returned to NU to coach the defensive line from 2016-17.

The Browns also added Tosh Lupoi, Alabama’s defensive coordinator last season.
