In the Scott Frost era of Husker football, drawing first blood is a key part of the victory formula. Score first, score fast, score often. But with the offense's vibe off, the formula isn't working properly.
“We got one there,” Scott Frost said of Robinson after the Illinois game. “We got a real guy there. Not just from a talent perspective, but from a heart perspective. (Wan'Dale Robinson) wanted that ball, he wanted to take over that game. In a lot of ways, he did. I’m glad he’s wearing scarlet and cream.”
“(Darrion Daniels) did a great job of coming in and not just doing things right himself but holding others to a standard he expected,” Scott Frost said. Daniels is the midseason defensive MVP.
“When they do things we train and you see it, that’s the best thing as a coach,” Cook said. “Win or lose, if they are doing the thing we train them to do it’s very rewarding as a coach.”
