SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Ryan Howard's RBI single in the bottom of the 11th inning gave Sacramento a 5-4 win over the Omaha Storm Chasers on Thursday night.

It was the second straight night Sacramento rallied to hand the Chasers a one-run loss.

Omaha's Jecksson Flores hit a three-run home run in the top of the first, but Sacramento made it 3-3 when Mike Gerber and Henry Ramos hit back-to-back homers in the sixth inning.

Gerber, a former Creighton standout, had two hits to raise his average to .337. Another former Jay, Pat Venditte, pitched two scoreless innings for Sacramento.

The Chasers regained a 4-3 lead on Brett Phillips' RBI single in the seventh before Howard tied it on a groundout in the eighth and delivered the game-winning hit in the 11th.

Omaha and Sacramento finish their series Friday at 9:05 p.m.
