FRESNO, Calif. — Carter Kieboom hit a three-run home run to lead Fresno to an 8-1 win over Omaha on Sunday.

Wilmer Difo and Jake Noll also homered for the Grizzlies (34-35), who roughed up Omaha starter Scott Blewett for six runs in three innings. Fresno tallied 12 hits, with six against Blewett in his shortest start since May 18.

Jecksson Flores had a pair of hits and the only run for the Storm Chasers (34-36), scoring on Kelvin Gutierrez’s single to right in the third. Flores extended his hitting streak to 10 games when he lined a single to center.

The Chasers otherwise struggled against Fresno’s Paolo Espino, who scattered three hits and struck out five in six innings.

The Grizzlies took a 2-0 lead in the first when Difo drove a 2-2 pitch from Blewett over the right-center field wall. Fresno tacked on another run in the inning on Blewett’s wild pitch.

With runners on first and second and one out in the second, Kieboom hit his ninth homer for a 6-0 Fresno lead.

The four-game series continues Monday at 9:05 p.m.
