San Antonio scored seven unanswered runs and went on to earn a 7-5 win over the Omaha Storm Chasers in their series opener Thursday night at Werner Park.

The Chasers led 3-0 after one inning as Bubba Starling singled home a run and Samir Duenez drove in two with a double.

But the Missions tied it in the fourth and went ahead with a four-run sixth inning, capped by Trent Grisham’s three-run home run, his first of the season.

The Chasers pulled within 7-5 in the seventh when Brett Phillips hit an RBI triple and Jecksson Flores followed with a sacrifice fly. But the Chasers only had one base runner in the final two innings.

Zach Lovvorn, who entered in the third inning, was tagged with the loss as he allowed six earned runs and eight hits in four innings.

Xavier Fernandez led the Storm Chaser offense with two hits.

The Chasers look to end a four-game skid Friday at 7:05 p.m. against the Missions.
