SAN ANTONIO — Thomas Jankins allowed one run and struck out seven in seven innings as San Antonio pulled away for an 8-2 win over Omaha on Saturday.

The Storm Chasers (42-51) have been outscored 27-13 in the first three games of the series against the Missions (57-36), who have the best record in the PCL. San Antonio has recorded double-digit hits in each game.

The Missions tallied 11 hits and six walks Saturday against starter Eric Skoglund and two relievers.

Skoglund, who allowed five runs on eight hits in 4 1⁄3 innings, has given up at least four earned runs in five of his past six starts.

Lucas Erceg and Blake Allemand homered for San Antonio. Travis Shaw added two hits and a pair of RBIs.

Humberto Arteaga was 3 for 4 with a run for the Chasers, and Ryan O’Hearn extended his hitting streak to nine games with two hits, including an RBI double.

Outfielder Brett Phillips was 0 for 3, ending his hitting streak at six games.

The Missions scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the first, then took a 3-0 lead on Erceg’s homer in the second.

David Freitas doubled home a run in the fifth and Shaw added an RBI single.

The Chasers cut the lead to 5-2 on Erick Mejia’s RBI groundout in the eighth, but Allemand’s three-run homer in the bottom of the inning sealed the victory.

The series wraps up at 6:05 p.m. Sunday.
