Andrew Susac's grand slam starts Storm Chasers off right as they defeat Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY — Cheslor Cuthbert and Andrew Susac each drove in four runs Friday night to lead the Omaha Storm Chasers to an 11-9 win over Oklahoma City.

Cuthbert, who went 4 for 5 on the night, had RBI hits in the first, fifth and sixth innings. Susac hit a grand slam to cap a five-run first.

Oklahoma City took a 6-5 lead after four innings, but the Chasers responded with two runs in the fifth and four in the sixth. Erick Mejia, who had a two-run double in the sixth, finished the night with three hits and three runs scored.

Foster Griffin worked the first five innings for the win, improving to 4-1. Kevin McCarthy pitched two hitless innings for his third save. McCarthy has allowed one run in his last 101⁄3 innings.

The Chasers, winners of five of their last six, continue their series with Oklahoma City Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
