ALBUQUERQUE — Omaha was unable to build on its walk-off win Thursday, losing to Albuquerque 12-3 Friday.
The Isotopes exploded for 16 hits as the Chasers’ road woes continued, bringing their record to 2-11 away from home in May.
After Albuquerque got on the board with a run in the first frame, Omaha was able to tie it in the third before the Isotopes opened it up with a five-run bottom half-inning.
The Chasers were never able to recover, as Albuquerque answered a two-run fifth from Omaha by getting runs in the next three frames.
Yohan Pino suffered the loss, giving up eight earned runs on 11 hits, while walking three and striking out seven.
After hitting 16 home runs in their last eight games, the Chasers were unable to keep their hot streak going, mustering three hits Friday with no long balls.
Rey Fuentes, hitting .500 and scoring 11 runs in his past seven games, kept his hot hitting going with two hits and a run batted in.
