Kansas City's Nicky Lopez hits a second-inning home run.

In 519 at-bats, Kansas City's Nicky Lopez hit two home runs in his Creighton career — one at TD Ameritrade Park.

In Lopez's first at-bat in his return to his college ballpark Thursday night, he hit a solo home run to right field — the first of the second baseman's MLB career and the first by an MLB player in Nebraska.

Lopez's only college home run at TD Ameritrade Park was on May 17, 2016 against Nebraska.

Lopez and the Royals defeated the Detroit Tigers 7-3 in the first MLB game played in Omaha.
