A student participates in the Kaneko perplexus camp, which was led by the 3D game’s inventor, Michael McGinnis. The camp will be offered again this summer. 


Students will work on a variety of projects, including mosaics, glass fusing and canvas painting. Four-day, three-day and one-day sessions are offered.

Local professionals teach the principles and processes of design, creativity and more at four-day camps that provide a variety of exercises and activities. This year’s camps will include video game design and architecture design.

When: June 10-July 29

Who: Students entering grades 7-9

Pottawattamie, Arts, Culture and Entertainment is offering a camp called Art Thyme Around the World. Campers will learn art and culinary skills during the three-day camp, which explores world cultures.

When: July 22-24, 8:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m.

Where: Abraham Lincoln High School, 1205 Bonham St., Council Bluffs

Who: Ages 7-12

Cost:$135 per camper for PACE members; $150 for others
