Papillion Sanitation is helping to protect the environment one truck at a time.

The trash and recycling company received its first compressed natural gas truck. They will receive three more over the next six months with the help of Metropolitan Utilities District.

Compressed natural gas is a cleaner burning fuel that produces fewer carbon emissions and lowers exposure to fuel price rate increases.

Besides the fuel savings and environmental benefits, the trucks will also run quieter than a comparable diesel engine.
