Auditions for the first production of the Bellevue Little Theatre’s 2019-20 season will be June 29-30 at the theater.

“Catch Me If You Can” is a musical based on the real-life adventures of con artist Frank Abagnale, Jr. The story was portrayed in the 2002 film of the same name starring Leonardo DiCaprio as conman Abagnale and Tom Hanks as the FBI agent who pursues him.

The musical version of the story was nominated for four Tony awards, including Best Musical.

A cast of 20 to 23 adults, male and female, ages 16-70 is needed for the production, which will open Sept. 13 and run for three weekends, closing on Sept. 29.

Those auditioning should prepare 16 to 32 bars of music with printed accompaniment – no a cappella.

An accompanist will be provided. There will be a dance audition, so those auditioning are asked to bring appropriate clothing and shoes.

D. Laureen Pickle will be the stage director, with music direction by Chris Ebke, choreography by Kerri Jo Richardson-Watts and stage management by Melissa Carnahan.

Auditions will be June 29 at 2 p.m., and June 30 at 6 p.m., at the theater, 203 W. Mission Ave. Callbacks will be July 6 at 2 p.m. Rehearsals will begin on Sunday, July 14.

Questions should be texted to 402-681-9785.
