After a 2-1 loss to rival Papillion-La Vista on March 19, the Papillion-La Vista South girls got revenge in the Metro Conference Tournament.
The Titans earned a 2-1 overtime victory over the Monarchs in Friday’s quarterfinals.
After a scoreless first half, the Monarchs struck first on a goal from Brooklyn Scanlon to take a 1-0 lead. Marisa Weichel responded with a goal for the Titans to tie it at 1-1 and send the game to overtime.
Neither team scored in the first overtime session before Laney Siefken found the back of the net in the second OT to give the Titans the lead and the win. The goal came off a Maddie Weichel corner kick.
The win sent the Titans to the semifinals, where they were defeated 7-1 by Millard West Saturday.
The Wildcats led 3-0 at halftime before building a 5-0 lead when the Titans scored their lone goal off the foot of Chloe Jarosz.

Marian 2, Bellevue West 1 — Marian scored a goal with four minutes left in the second overtime session to earn the win over West.
Emma Mullendore scored a goal off a Chamberlyn Bridge assist in the first half to put the T-birds up 1-0. Marian tied it at 1-1 in the second half before taking the victory in overtime.

Papillion-La Vista 10, Benson 0 — Three goals in the second half invoked the mercy rule for Papio. Sammy Marek recorded a hat trick with Lolo Anglim and Scanlon adding two goals apiece.
Chloe Dietz, Allie Hinman and Renee Thompson each added a goal with Thompson adding three assists.
Papio South 6, Omaha Central 2 — The Titans scored all six goals in the first half.
Bellevue West 3, Bellevue East 0 — The T-birds took the win by scoring all three goals in the second half. Emma Mullendore and Emily Schmidt scored goals for West with Allison Romero, Abby Smith and Quinn Whitcomb each adding an assist.
Marian 10, Bryan 0 — The Crusaders netted four goals in the second half for the mercy-rule win. Ameilia Paiz made 26 saves for Bryan.
Metro consolation round:
Bellevue East 3, Bryan 0 — Sami Reding scored two goals in the first half for East, which added an insurance goal in the second half.
Jocelynn Ramirez made 13 saves for Bryan.
Regular season results:
Gross 1, Roncalli 0 — Grace Rowe scored a second-half goal off an assist from Rachel Culhane to give the Cougars the edge over the RCC rival Crimson Pride.
Alexus Townsend made 13 saves for the shutout in goal.
Gross 6, South Sioux City 1 — A five-goal second half gave the Cougars the win. Culhane notched two goals to head the Cougar attack with Sydney Herren, Jaycee Billings, Rowe and Riley Donohoe each adding goals.
Gross 5, Platteview 0 — Herren scored two goals to lead the Cougar offense with Billings, Bridget Nothelfer and Sophia Egermier each adding a score.
Alexus Townsend made six saves for the clean sheet in goal for Gross.
Elkhorn 9, Platteview 1 — The Trojans couldn’t climb out of a 6-0 halftime hole. Mia Loffer scored the Platteview goal.
Holdrege 4, Platteview 3 — Both teams scored three goals in the first half before the Dusters stole the win with a second-half goal.
Emma Middleton scored all three goals for the Trojans.
Gretna 2, Mercy 1 — The Dragons scored the game-winning goal with 10 minutes remaining to break a 1-1 deadlock against the Class B No. 2 Monarchs.
Sarah Weber and Savannah De Fini each netted goals for Gretna with Sydney Mueller and Chelsea Anderson adding assists.
Marian 2, Gretna 1 — The Class A No. 2 Crusaders scored twice in second half for a 2-0 lead. Gretna scored the final goal of the match.
Gretna 5, Bennington 1 — Weber recorded a hat trick to lead the Dragons to the win.
Papio South 10, Benson 0 — Anna Jennings, Mia Lang and Marisa Weichel each scored a pair of goals to lead the Titans to the mercy-rule victory.
Maddie Weichel added three assists with Ella Pelletier, Allison Baker, Siefken and Izzy Farias each adding one goal.
Papillion-La Vista 9, Omaha Northwest 0 — The Monarchs took command with six second-half goals. Jayden Reynolds scored two goals for Papio with Sammy Marek adding one goal and three assists.
Lauren Schmidt, Renee Thompson, Amber Arnold, Lolo Anglim, Scanlon and Chloe Deitz all added scores.
Bellevue East 8, Omaha North 0 — The Chieftains scored four goals in each half for the convincing win. Nydia Clark and Riley Jensen scored two goals apiece while combining for five assists.
Hannah Madison, Sami Reding, Mara Parker and Autumn Dymek-Cervantes each scored a goal.
Skutt 6, Bellevue West 1 — Emma Mullendore scored West’s only goal in its first loss of the season. Sara Banks assisted on Mullendore’s goal.
Roncalli 6, Ralston 1 — Roncalli scored the final five goals of the match for the win. Kennedy Walls scored the lone Ralston goal.
Ralston 6, Concordia 0 — The Rams scored three times in each half for the victory.
Walls scored twice for the Rams with Carmen Dudley, Natalie Dudley, Paige Hill and Jordyn Sacco each adding goals.
Bennington 3, Ralston 0 — After leading 1-0 at halftime, the Badgers added two goals in the second half.
Westside 6, Bryan 0 — Ameilia Paiz made 19 saves in goal for the Bears.
