The Nebraska Senior Soccer Showcase was held at Skutt High School Saturday for both boys and girls teams.

The event used to be sponsered by The Shriners Hospital and played at Morrison Stadium.

In the girls match, the dark won 3-2 over the white team. The dark squad featured Bryan’s Amelia Paiz-Garcia, Ralston’s Paige Hill, Papio South’s Marisa Weichel, Jamie Legner of Gross and Gretna’s Brooke Downing and Morgan McLaughlin with McLaughlin earning MVP in the game. Bryan’s Jason Moore and Gretna’s Digger Hawkins were coaches of the squad.

The white squad featured Bellevue East’s Nydia Clarke, Platteview’s Grace O’Laughlin, Bellevue West’s Chamberlyn Bridge and Papio’s Sammy Marek. Platteview’s Mark Cummings and Bellevue East’s Rodney Owen Spence were the coaches.

The dark team ran past the white squad with a 6-2 victory in the boys game. The dark squad featured Ralston’s Diego Pacheco and Papio’s Jake LaMontagne, while the white team featured Papio South’s Zach Selph, Bryan’s Chris Aguilar, Bellevue East’s Miracle Ndichafah and Gretna’s John Cover and Nathan Fibich.

Ralston’s Alexis Pacheco was one of the coaches on the boys dark team.
