The Gretna City Pool will open May 25 for its 2019 season, which runs through mid-August. Open swim hours are Monday through Friday from 1 to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Pool passes went on sale May 1.

Season passes are $25 per person and may be purchased at Gretna City Hall, 204 N. McKenna Ave., or at the pool (once open.) A pool pass form is available online.

General admission is $4 per person ($2 after 6 p.m.) Ages 3 and under are free in the baby pool only.

A book of 10 passes may be purchased for $35.

Cash or check only are accepted at the pool, while City Hall can accept credit cards, though a 3 percent fee is charged.

Swimming lessons will be held Mondays through Thursdays. Times offered include 8:30 to 9:15 a.m., 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.

Cost is $30 per session.

Swim lesson registration will only take place at City Hall this year, a change from years past when signup was also available at the Gretna City Pool.

This year, pool lesson signups will take place Monday through Friday during the business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Gretna City Hall.

Payment must be made at the time of registration by a legal guardian/adult over the age of 18.

This year’s sessions are as follows:

Session 1: June 3–June 14

Session 2: June 17–June 28

Session 3: July 8–July 19

Session 4: July 22–Aug. 2

Registration for Session 1 and Session 2 began Monday; registration for Session 3 and Session 4 begins May 13.

Pool party reservations will be open Monday through May 24 at City Hall. Cost is $120 for the first 100 people. After May 24, visit the pool and speak to a manager about availability.
