A $2,500 P.E.O. STAR Scholarship for the 2019-20 academic year was presented to Amelia Treu, a graduate of Bellevue West High School.

The scholarship was presented at West and made by Carrie Bagnell, the P.E.O. Sisterhood chapter representative.

The scholarship is awarded based on excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics and potential for future success.

The students must be recommended by a P.E.O. chapter.

Treu was recommended for this scholarship by Chapter HC of Bellevue.

Treu has been accepted and will attend Creighton University this fall where she plans to study nursing.
