Nebraska Legislature opening day-2016

Jan. 6 was the start of the 60-day second session of the 104th Nebraska Legislature at the State Capitol's Senate chambers in Lincoln.

One look at the $19 trillion federal debt and you know Congress isn’t doing right by citizens. But calling an unprecedented convention of the states to propose constitutional amendments is not the best way to fix things. Nebraska legislators showed a lot of common sense in rejecting that leap into the unknown.
