Forbes magazine reports that the National Treasury Employees Union, which represents employees of the Internal Revenue Service, wants its members to write their congressmen to voice concern about legislation that would require IRS and Treasury workers to use the Affordable Care Act's health insurance exchanges. The bill, proposed by House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp, R-Mich., would require that all federal employees purchase coverage through the marketplaces. Among other provisions, the new law's individual mandate and eligibility for the exchange subsidies would be enforced by - IRS employees. Talk about irony.
