Runza introduced two new vegetarian versions of its iconic sandwich. On the left is the Original Vegetarian, filled with lentils, cabbage, onions and seasonings; and the right one is the Southwest Black Bean. For now, the sandwiches are only available at the Runza locations in Lincoln.

The long-awaited moment has arrived: Runza is now offering two meatless versions of its iconic Runza sandwich. 

For now, the original vegetarian Runza and the Southwest black bean Runza are only available in Lincoln. Runza spokeswoman Becky Perrett said the meatless Runzas are available as part of a trial run. 

If they are successful in Lincoln, she said the sandwiches could be available at additional Runza locations. Customers can share their thoughts about the meatless sandwiches on social media. Find Runza at
