For almost 25 years, the locally owned Great Harvest Bread Co. has been a staple in midtown, Rockbrook and west Omaha, and at area farmers markets.

Now, its longtime owners, Marian and Dennis Cihacek, have decided it’s time to step away from the business, and are hoping to find another Omahan to take over.

“We live in this city and we don’t want to live in a city without a Great Harvest bakery,” Marian Cihacek said.

Until they find a new buyer, the bakeries will continue operating as usual.
