Fauxmaha's vegan dogs is moving into the former Modern Love

Fauxmaha — which plans to remove the "Dogs" from its name — is moving into the former Modern Love space off Saddle Creek Road.

A new vegan spot is coming to an old vegan spot.

Fauxmaha — which plans to remove the "Dogs" from its name — is moving into the former Modern Love space off Saddle Creek Road.

Mick Ridgway has run the vegan hot dog business out of a roving truck, but he has always prepared his food in Modern Love's kitchen. Now it will be permanent.

Isa Chandra Moskowitz moved Modern Love to a new, larger space in Midtown Crossing and said after the move she hoped to help another vegan business open in the original spot, at 1319 S. 50th St.

Ridgway said there was a lot of interest in the space but, in the end, it worked out best for him.

He said they are painting and making other changes to the restaurant, and he hopes to be open by August with an expanded menu. His vegan dogs will still be available, too.
