The patio at Jambo Cat, 4916 Underwood Ave.

Jambo Cat, the live jazz venue and bar in Dundee, has closed.

In a Facebook post, the bar said April 20 was its last day in business. It opened in 2016.

The post said the bar, which had been subsidized in part by Marks Bistro, the restaurant upstairs, could not stay open without the restaurant’s help; the subsidy, the post said, wasn’t sustainable long-term.

The space, at 4916 Underwood Ave., will be available for private cocktail parties and other events. For more information, call 402-502-2203.
