Cellar 426 is in Ashland.

An Ashland winery took home top prizes for a wine made with Edelweiss grapes at the INDY International Wine Competition.

Cellar 426 won a double gold medal and a best-of-class award for its Sunflower white wine, which is a semi-sweet white with flavors of green apple, honey and pear.

The contest, now in its 28th year, is independently organized and features more than 1,800 wines from almost every state in the country. A panel of 45 judges scores the wines on appearance, aroma, taste and after-taste.
