Fauxmaha’s bánh mì dog

Fauxmaha’s bánh mì dog comes with cilantro and shredded carrot and pickled onion.

Fauxmaha, which recently announced it is moving from a food cart to a bricks-and-mortar spot in midtown, is getting national recognition: PETA named its bánh mì dog one of the 10 best vegan dogs in the nation.

The tofu and seitan dog comes topped with pickled carrots and radish, a spicy Sriracha “mayo” sauce and fresh mint and cilantro.

Other winners include the Crispy Cowboy at Phyto’s Vegan Eats in Las Vegas; the Hang Ten from Onion Maiden in Pittsburgh; and the Chicago Dog at Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace in Columbus, Ohio.
