On the Hook food truck

The On the Hook food truck is rolling through Nebraska this week.

A fish and chips food truck is headed to Nebraska as part of a multistate summer tour.

The On the Hook food truck, which focuses on wild Alaskan fish served with beer-battered chips and homemade sauces, has been in the state since Tuesday. It plans stops in Falls City, Auburn, Schuyler, Columbus, Sidney, Blair, McCook, North Platte, Lincoln and Omaha.

Thunderhead Brewing plans to host the truck at its new downtown tasting room, 1037 Jones St., on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The brewery serves 48 craft beers on tap, and plans a Bell’s Brewery tap takeover during the weekend event.

Two engineering students from the University of Wyoming started the truck in 2016, and since then have grown to include multiple trucks that travel around the Midwest.
