Volenec, John J. "Jack" June 30, 1944 - May 9, 2019 Age 74. Preceded in death by parents, John II and Helen Volenec; beloved Aunt Mary Petrovich. Survived by daughters, Christine and Lisa Volenec of Phoenix AZ; siblings, Jim, Bob and Carol Hultquist; nieces and nephews. Jack had a wicked sense of humor and loved restoring old cars and antique furniture. He always had great taste in music which he listened to at thunderous volumes much to the chagrin of our kind and tolerant neighbors. In 1990, a brain aneurism and stroke forced him to remain in a skilled nursing facility for the remainder of his life. However, he never lost his subversive sense of humor or his faith in God. FUNERAL MASS: Monday, 10am, St. Bernadette Catholic Church. VISITATION with his family: Monday, 9am until time of service, at the church. The family will hold a private burial. Jack was a friend of Bill W. and memorials may be made to the A.R.C.H. at 604 South 37th Street, Omaha 68105. A sincere thank you to all the friends who have supported us in this very long journey, especially in this last week. Obituary Search Tips
Enter a full name, a last name (confirm the spelling) and/or keywords in the search box.
If your search is unsuccessful, try removing the first name. The person's known name may not be the name on record.
Try adding quotation marks to a keyword phrase for an exact match, or simply search by date or date-range for broader results.
