Sailors, Kathleen Joan "Katie" Feb 26, 1936 - Feb 16, 2016 Katie passed away in Council Bluffs in her home with her children and family. She was born in Walthill, NE on February 26, 1936 to the late John and Della Forristal. She is survived by her Children Jill, Kelly , Mitzi, Pat and Mike and her grandchildren Sara, Brad, James, and Joel. Preceded in death by her son Ron Jr. and son-in-law Clyde Cross. Katie was a larger than life personality, loved by everyone who met her. She found great joy in raising her six children and often said it was the greatest time of her life. She and her sister Mary Guinan were fortunate to live next to one another for many fun filled years, with many hours spent overlooking the golf course feeding the birds and squirrels. Katie shared laughter with everyone she knew, loved to read and held her beliefs strongly for equal rights, tolerance and acceptance of all. Her passion, laughter and sense of style will live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved her. We love you Mom. A small family Celebtation of Her Life will be held on her birthday, as she had wished. In lieu of flowers, memorials to charity of you choice.
