To the family of Mrs. Machacek: I was one of four siblings who benefited greatly from Mrs. Machacek's teaching at Westgate School. It would be hard to count the number of children she taught over the many years of a career of service. I remember every teacher from Westgate, not because of having a good memory, but because each and every one was a model of what an elementary school teacher should be. I will remember Mrs. Machacek at Mass this weekend, along with your family. -Fr. Jim Clifton, SJ
